ISO-Certification 9001
Kirchner und Tochter has been certified in accordance with the DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 quality management system since March 2017. The initial certification in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001:2008 was achieved at the beginning of 2011. Systematic quality improvement is practised to ensure consistent accommodation to increasingly higher standards. This process comprises continuing product development, check tests and product testing of all devices, and also includes regular ongoing training programmes for our personnel. Quality management is a proven instrument to optimize our company performance. Kirchner und Tochter guarantees highest quality standards.
CE registration certificates
The flow meters specified in the download area are registered by the DVGW (German Association for Gas and Water Applications) in conformity with the EU Pressure Equipment Directive (PED) 2014/68/EU.
These EU registration certificates certify compliance with valid safety regulations and allow our flow meters to bear the appropriate CE mark. The EU type examination certificate (CE marking) indicates that the applicable safety regulations are observed. In this connection, Kirchner und Tochter carries out the required pressure test as a function of the nominal pressure of the device.
Within the framework of an annual audit, internal production control with monitoring of acceptance is inspected as defined in the PED. The advantages of certification to you, the customer, are that the devices bear the marking from monitored production processes and the crucial standards in regard to safety, hygiene and serviceability are confirmed.
Certification ATEX
Almost all devices made by Kirchner und Tochter are also suitable for use in ATEX locations.
Kirchner und Tochter is audited by TÜV Rheinland and holds the ATEX certificate on explosion protection and the device-related type examination certificate, and/or a statement by TÜV Rheinland, in accordance with ATEX Directive 2014/34/EU. These certificates are re-confirmed annually in follow-up audits and reflect the high quality standards of our company.

Certification of SMB / SMB-OE and approval of the production location
The sprinkler measuring orifice SMB / SMB-OE is approved by VdS Schadenverhütung for use in permanently installed sprinkler systems.
